Season 7 of Sea of Thieves was announced in a hut for the toughest sea dog, revealing an abundance of new features coming to the multiplayer pirate game.
Shown during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, Sea of Thieves Season 7 will release several new customization options as it allows you to become a bona fide captain of your own ship. This will unlock several new features, including the option to customize your cabin, rename your vessel, and save ship shipments.
Season 7 will also introduce a new in-game point system that relates to how you sell loot acquired during looting. We hope the new season, as usual, will introduce many new items to unlock through a premium battle pass as well.
But these new features aside, the real star of the show was the ad itself. Sung by a cheerful buccaneer, it is certainly the best sea song we’ve heard in recent times. Admittedly, we don’t spend a lot of time filling our lungs in Davy Jones’ domain.

Up until this point, Sea of Thieves has allowed you to choose from several different types of ships and equip them with various decorations. However, there was no persistent ship ownership system and its customization options were limited. You would join a server, spawn with your selected ship, and depart, regenerating with your trusty ship upon death.
We believe that Sea of Thieves is one of the best days on Xbox Game Pass. Make sure you’re a member of Microsoft’s game subscription service.
